Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD)

Indonesia uses an electronic customs declaration system accessible via the Bea Cukai mobile app or ecd.beacukai.go.id. Complete your declaration before or upon arrival. Paper forms may still be available at some ports.

Currency & Goods Limits

Carrying more than IDR 100 million (or equivalent in foreign currency) in cash must be declared. Duty-free allowances apply to alcohol, tobacco, and goods — check current thresholds with customs authorities as these are subject to revision.

Prohibited & Restricted Items

Narcotics and psychotropics carry severe penalties including the death penalty. Firearms, pornographic material, and certain plant/animal products are prohibited or require permits. Drones may require prior approval.

Health Declaration

Health screening requirements (including vaccine certificates or health declarations) may apply depending on prevailing regulations. Check current requirements with Indonesian health authorities and your airline before departure.
